Cambodian Burl & Ivory
Here is a Jr. Statesman rollerball pen I made for my best friend's father who was celebrating his 50th wedding anniversary. The wood was called Cambodian Burl by Berea Hardwoods. The inlays are mammoth ivory. I used a pool cue inlay pantagraph for the inlays.

Very nice Jim.
Not so sure about the inlay, it seems to be to bright, maybe something darker.
Not criticising your work, just offering my opinionCheers

Great looking pen and finish. Love the inlay as well.
Good looking little stand, are they available commercially?

Thanks, DJ. No offense taken. Opinions likes yours is the reason for sharing work on sites like this.
Big Shed - I got some acrylic stand from an auction when PenPal went out of business. I don't know where they could be bought. Some people in the U.S. make them and sell them. I think they'd be awfully crokked if I heated them up to bend them.Jim Lambert

I reckon DJ's right in that the ivory is a bit bright now, but I imagine that it'd yellow with time? Having no experience with Mammoth ivory I'm just guessing it reacts the same as normal bone/ivory?
How many of us can say we've turned pens that'll improve with time?

Beautiful burl/finish and perfect kit to show it off. Not sure a timber with such beautiful figure needs the inlay, but still looks Ok to me.

Jim brilliant execution on the Mammoth Ivory inlay and the burl is a stunner and you got to love the JR Statesman. I have a Black TI out of Buffalo Horn waiting for me for the weekend. Well done mate
