Looking good, Froggie. What kind of finish did you use?

I use Rustins Plastic Coating to finish all my timber pens it is a 2 part epoxy finish it is incredibly durable and it only takes 24 hours to complete the process, by far the quickest and easiest finish that I have ever used and you don't get the overwhelming fumes like that CA finish.

it is a very nice looking kit. you've done well ( as if you'd do anything but perfect )

it looks like an expesive kit...any hints as to what you will be selling them for?

I won't have them instock until February sometime I just had some samples sent to me so I could check them out before I order a large quantity of them and at this stage I hope to be able to keep them under $30 probably around $28.

i know...testing the kit out before you sell them helps make you the great retailer you are. thats a little under what i thought that would cost. i thought $40 would be alright, but hey - i aint complaining about a lower price

VERY Nice.. I like that kit, and I think I have seen this one run about $24us.... I find myself moving away from the kits that are 1-4 bucks and into the nicer 6-20+ dollar range. they tend to make a nicer pen and have that "expensive" look to them when your done.

I was interested to learn about the finish that you are using. I might give that a whirl, as a good alternative to CA.

Alternative to CA, trust me mate once you have used Rustins you will never use anything else it is so quick and easy and the manufacturers say it keeps it's look for 15 years or even longer. If you are interested I have a tutorial on how I do it just send me a pm with your email address and I will email you a .pdf file of it.

Nice work Froggie. I think that particular kit would look very good on lighter coloured timber.

Nice work Brett, it looks particularly well in the timber all the ones I have seen made OS have been in acrylic

Interesting about the Rustins I have looked a few places up here but yet to get it. Got to be better than CA

I'd be really interested if they did a fountain pen version of the kit - are you considering stocking that? I'd be happy to part with some money

Looks good Froggie. That kit is one of the "fat" ones isn't it? What is it's Dia?

On Rustins - I am intersted in the pdf, I'll PM my email. I tried it once, sanded to 1200 then used EEE, but it didn't like heat and turned milky and peeled. I assume you are using wet sanding with MM to keep it cool? I have some MM now, so perhaps I should retry, CA certainly has its draw backs.
