Coolibah Burl with bark Jnr. Statesman
Been itching to turn this one, had to stabilise the bark before drilling. The easy part was staining the top one with just a tinge of green and some hint of green sparkle! the glitter wasn't supposed to "run". Oops I mean I knew it would do so and accurately put on the exact amount to get the effect I wanted!; The hard part was duplicating that exact science on the barrel portion!, In presence it looks better that the photos, because the photos tend to bring out the glitter more than it really is.
Enough excuses, I will just stick this Jnr Statesman in the Slimline contest!!! Ha! that had Mik worried!. Hope you enjoy it as much as I, AmosGood, better, best, never let it rest;

It looks very dark in the photos but we all know they always look better in your hand.
There seems to be some nice patterns in there. It matches that kit very nice well doneCheers Rum Pig

New Photos
The small white dot is a "special microchip" that will bite you if you mention it! (Glitter),
Here are new photos, but still not what I want. AmosGood, better, best, never let it rest;

That Pen looks great Amos. I agree with Rum pig about the dark photos but the later photos looks much better.
Ps Thanks for your help today Amos.

I like the colors in this and you can always say the white dots were supposed to be the Southern Cross but slipped a little. I need to get a couple of those kits as well hopefully soon.

I really like that one, Amos. There is a lot going on with the timber and I could spend some time staring into it. Your excellent finish makes it look a mile deep.
