    Default Corbs' pen has landed

I was very lucky today when I got home - a present in the mail that contained a lovely pen and a fantastic range of blanks .... unfortunately my camera is at work and a 'phone photo would not do it justice!
Thank you Corbs for the pen - the sheen on the timbers is really somethong!!

Promise I'll get into the shed real soon and try to match your high standard.

Nice looking pen! Is that how the nib looks on all of those kits? Lots of possibilities. Great job on the finish too.

Very nice looking pen like the contrasting timber on the angle.

    Default Corbs

Your pen is very smoothly shaped, the various timbers are jointed well, the kit suits the design, in short its a boomer. I believe the new owner will cherish this pen for its Aussie content with timber and the ease of one hand operation.
    Success my friend. Regards Peter

Thanks team... I had been looking for an excuse to do this style lamination and the pen swap was perfect. Was a bit of stuffing around to get it right and if I do another will probably try RRG rather than Syd Blue Gum for a bit more contrast with the Murray Pine. I like the Americana Classic kits too.

Actually the SBG and Murray Pine work really well for another reason - when you first look at the pen you see two colours and then you get another surprise by seeing that the the pale timber is actually two timbers and because the joins are so good you have to look to notice, which makes you take in the whole pen even further.
