Default Another couple of Sturdee pens

These are from the second cast that I took away from our session at Sturdee's place. Had a bit of trouble with these as they had quite a bit of decayed wood inside once I removed the excess material. Would have been good if they had gone into the stabilising solution that Mark was demonstrating. But that wasn't the case, so I pressed on and scrapped out the decayed parts and refilled the cavities with coffee grinds and CA. Came out okay in the end. There was not a lot of resin left after turning.
Now it is time to try my own casting once my order of resin and colours turns up.

they look great, its not about how much resin is mixed in with these, the point is in the up-cycling from scrap to Artistic

    great finish as well

    all the best
