Default Another Cypress Pine Elegant Beauty

I just made another Elegant Beauty using Cypress Pine from a picket, this time with a slightly glossier finish and better photography. I think I'm getting the hang of this

Not fond of the distracting "stand".

    Default Good job

Really amazing what you can find in a picket!

And so many people bag the "carp" out of cypress.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys. Artme - i can see what you mean about the distracting stand, but i really like the contrast and haven't found a better option yet. I'd really appreciate suggestions for other ways to 'pose' the pens.

    Lovely Pen.

I actually liked the contrasting effect of the gague in the back ground. Gives it some scale and contrast.

Nice pen - nothing wrong with cypress

I also prefer a simple background, whilst it is a great photo, IMHO it distracts from the pen - if you need a prop I'd suggest something like a chopstick rest
