Default First day in shed since December 3.

First day in my shed since early December. Reason being I have been on the road for work providing drought assistance to Western Queensland a lot. 15000kms driving since December. Also because of the heat. 3 x 3m shed in western qld in summer. 40+ temps. Yesterday was 42.8 which was a new record for March. Beat the previous record from the day before. Today wasn't too bad. Got to 38.

The drought is getting worse. 3 failed wet season in a row for western qld. Add to that a locust plague for western New South Wales and Western Queensland. It is getting very grim.

So first time in the shed. Had to clean the shed. Check. See what I had to work with. Check. Get out of the shed before 11. Check.

So I made a pacer and 2 Sierra pens in acrylic. I glued up a few Sierra kits in mango. Will turn them tomorrow to see how it goes.

    Thanks for listening.

    Todd

Good to hear you are getting back into the shed Todd.
Nice pens to whet your appetite.

That blank on the last Sierra is what I have been chasing to make a Cronulla Sharks pen, I made one today with the closest colors I could find, the blue on mine is a bit too dark, but it will have to do.

Thanks for the update on the drought out west, sitting on the coast I think we forget about how bad it is out there.
    Brad.

That is a long time between shed time. At least you are getting some time to relax.
