I don't know what your store sells, but if it like our Office Max, not so good. The best I have found for pens and such is Waterslide decal paper. Inkjet /clear. If you can find that you are good to go. After printing you need to spray the decal with something or the ink will run I use Krylon Cristal Clear.

I use Testors Clear Water Slide Decal paper.
Can be used on an Ink Jet printer.
Works great for me.

Thanks guys, engraving may not be an option as may need to put a logo on this as well. Have a bit more time than I thought but having spoken to Officeworks I don't think that they're suitable, so if anyone knows a supplier please let me know.

I buy mine off Ebay. This person ships worldwide. No idea what the shipping would be to you:

The above is an example. Make sure you get clear waterslide. This place sells it all.

I don't quite understand how this works. Reading about it it looks like you have to do casting over this paper:
"0 Sheets of A4 Vinyl Paper used in the production of label cast blanks There is no need to seal the printed surface with lacquers it's as simple as..
print ~ cut to size~ apply to the tube ~ and cast in resin "
It sounds like this is for if you cast your own blanks, how would it work if you were making a pen from wood or say using a cartridge (bullet pen)?

I buy mine from www.decalpaper.com.au You do need to spray clear acrylic topcoat onto it after you print it out and you also have to spray the same on to the pen blank after the decal paper dries on the blank. This ensures the colours don't run and the CA doesn't eat through the colours when applied.

Thanks guys, will order some decal paper today. Salty, looking for easiest option at the moment, not done much casting but it is on my to-do list.
