    It was a good day.
Went longer than expected but thats fine.
Learnt lots of things, hints and tips were all good.
Met some peoples I had not met before which was great and got to catch up with a few I've met before.
Thanks to Pete and Elaine for the hospitality.

We all had fun and got to make a little mess on Pete's garage floor (can't trust those cheap mixing jugs).

If anyone wants to borrow my gear to try casting thats cool, just PM me.
I've even got some dyes and pigments you can use.
(And plenty of more she oak pods if you want some)
    coastal banksia's as well

    Thanks again

That blank is as hard as nails! and I had to revert to a 60 grit turning tool!, it still came apart at the joins, I have stabilized with CA and we will see what comes of it, Amos

I'll be out your way in Mar/Apr 2014. I'm sure we can organise something, plus hopefully Nai84 can add to the demonstrators list

I am more than happy to have something here - plenty of shed space, parking peace and tranquility .... just a bit further from the big smoke (which is where most people are!) Let's see what shakes down in 2014 .... not trying to hy-jack this thread!

Default Donvale Casting and Stabilising Day

Even though I am thousands of miles away, I have followed the preparations for your day. I would love to have been there with you, and the best part of the thread was to see the pictures of all the participants, the posts of whm I have been following for quite a few years. Thank you for all your info, and the best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.

    John,

The same wishes to you and I'm glad that you have been following and enjoying the day from afar.

Next time maybe you would like to come over for one of our gatherings.

    Peter.
