Elephant ivory jr emperor
This is my first post on this forum and I hope I'm in the right spot to show a pen
that was commissioned from me. This is a Jr Emperor from csusa in 22k gold and
rhodium. The pen body was crafted from pre-ban ivory. The ivory was quite expensive
and a blast to turn. Ivory is hard and crazy sharp tooling is required. I used very light
strokes to insure that I didn't screw it up. I polished it to 12k mm then 4 coats of ren wax. The client was adament about not using any other finishing coats on it because he wanted it as natural as possible. All comments, good and bad, are welcome.

It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

That is a very nice pen indeed. Corbs is right - the last shot is magazine worthy. Very nice turning and very nice photography and presentation.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.
