Default Finish for M3 type blanks?

About 4 years ago I made some M3 metal pens, but I am not satisfied with the finish, I intend to dismantle and refinish them, can anyone guide me as to what finish to use, would CA be ok???????, Thanks
here is a picture of the pen.

Amos. to the best of my knowledge M3 is just resin and various metal powders plus some pigment(s).

They should polish up to a reasonable gloss, but failing that I don't see why you can't finish them with your usual CA routine.

    Hi Amos

I have heard that others use CA on top of the M3 blanks but I wouldn't.

M3 blanks just needs to be buffed up with MM or M3-PMP. Once it has been buffed the finish is amazing on them.

Tried buffing, not satisfactory, must needs disassemble complete pen and see if refinishing on the lathe will do it, I did use the proper stuff provided originally, but something is incorrect in the way it was done. , hard part is disassembling. Amos
