If only I could have turned and finished a pen of that quality in my first attempt, I would still be grinning. Well done and keep going.Regards

Even if it was my first slimline, I would be still grinning. It is onward & upwards. Look forward to the challenges ahead. The sky is the limit.

A piece of blue gum burl scavenged from a lucas miller pretty scrappy looking piece of wood he didnt think id be able to get anything from it i made a bowl and slimline and sold them as a pair.
I started making pens about a year ago now and that was pen number 99 the 98 before were slimlines im trying to think of a nice wood to make my 100th pen out of and i will keep it because its a milestone, I have a record of all the pens ive made and most of the nearly all of the woods except the ones i dont know the names of, i know the names of 45 of the different woods.

OK that's a beautiful pen and one I would be proud to have made, and would have no trouble selling. If I was criticizing myself I would ask " coul'd I have been a little slimmer in the body of the pen?". It's hard to know without having it in hand, but still it is lovely.
Cheers

My point re the belly is you have to ensure that the clip isn't too tight to make clipping in and out of pocket comfortable.
Re selling, down here in our x'mas shop and Easter show $20 seems to be the going rate. Too cheap, I agree but that's what the market will bear.

Thats a good point about the clip i didnt really think of that, I made another one today out of fiddleback Deep yellowwood (Satin Cedar) and made it a fraction slimmer.
I sell my slimlines for $15 and do pretty good off them so i will try $30 and see what happens.

Thanks for the advise greatly appreciated.

Well done kid. Great first attempt at the Sierra. Have a look at some of Ed's on here and way he makes them unique. Where are you selling your pens?
