    Default Football colour pens

I've been asked about making some football coloured pens, by football I mean Australian Rules Football. I was thinking of using Corian but haven't seen much of the one colour stuff that I would need. I had thought that I'd laminate different colours providing I could get those colours in Corian. Am I overlooking an easier way to create these sort of pens? Thought of dyeing timber perhaps? Appreciate any suggestions.

Tiger, some teams are easy to get colours for, eg Hawthorn, and Collingwood, white corian and ebony wood or black corian, and dark brown timber and light brown timber. Others you may need to cast some colours. Amos

Thanks Amos, have limited experience with casting but as soon as I find some time will try it.

    Default The Colours.

    Hi Tiger,
Neil UBeaut has some really good water Dyes, so you could almost use any wood you wood like.
    His Dyes are very Concentrated.
The Red & Black ones wood look Absolutely Fantastic.
    Go Bombers.

Hi Iss, do the dyes penetrate well into the timber? Red and black You're half right, change the red to yellow and then you're talking .

    Hey there,
    What about normal acrylic blanks..?
thats what I use, GPW has quite a range of the 16mm blanks that cover nearly all teams but nearly all the other pen kit suppliers have a range of acrylic that might be suitable,
also Corian is just one brand of composite material, there are others out there with different colour ranges,

below is a pic of some of the ones I have,
    top to bottom NRL team
    south sydney
    cronulla sharks,
    NSW origin,
    Wests tigers
    west tigers ( Collingwood AFL)
    Canberra raiders
    canterbury Bulldogs

granted some aren't exact but they are close

    Hope that helps at all,
    cheers

    Hi Ben,

Will probably go down the acrylic path, I would need solid colour acrylics though so that I could then add stripes with some form of segmenting.

If you need resin blanks with particular colours for your football team get onto Nai (Ian Allen) as he will cast exactly what you want and a good price
