Default Its the way of the future

    Hi,
As most of us know the internet (and the iPad) are the way of the future, and if you want to keep up you need some kind of web page. For us pen turners it is a good way to sell products and gain bushiness. There are many ways to get a web page, you can pay large amounts of cash or you can find a cheaper alternative.

For me the free way to do this was to use a blog site called 'blogspot.com' and to use 'Facebook' Both of these can be used to promote you bushiness and sell products without paying anything out.

My blog site is mostly used to keep people I have never met up to date with my projects and thinks I am making. But has also been used to sell some of my products, it also helps when applying for markets as they can have a look to see what my pens look like that I make and sell.

Having only today set up a facebook page for my pens after reading a tread a while back called https://www.woodworkforums.com/f69/wo...cebook-163479/ Not that I can comment on its success so far since I only joined it 12 hours ago, many others say they get a lot of sales (I will have to comment on this at a later date.)

This is my way and there are probably loads more ways out there to do it. Feel free to comment or make any suggestions or let us know what your methods are

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Upton...98176400284986 is my FB page for anyone wanting to look.

    Thank Ben

I started a page a few weeks ago.

You also want to look for a local Buy & sell page.

I sold my 1st item with in 15 minutes.

    Cheers

I've got a website that costs very little. Have a look at Fatcow.com and see what you think. I am fairly hopeless with computer stuff but it was easy to set up and get running and the assistance is brilliant.
