Your pen looks very reminiscent of Bull Oak and a favourite of mine. It is a very distinctive timber with the medullary rays being so prominent. Hairy Oak looks similar, but we can discount that because of the bark.
Very nice job too, as usual.

Thanks to Old Croc for sending me some samples of Grevillea pteridifolia, this has confirmed the my pieces are definitely not from this species.
My stuff at the top, Crocs blanks at the bottom.
