    Closely related to Southern Silky Oak Grevilia robusta, in the Proteace family as is Lacewood.

    Beautiful Peter!! Rays look spectacular at that angle.

    It such a long-lived tree .. one in outback NSW (about same size as that shown above) was used to blaze Poole's intials near his grave site over 200 yrs ago and the tree has hardly grown since. Its still alive.
