Gun stock
Euge probably need an ID on this. The gun stock already had stuff cut off of it and this is what is left. It smells very much like coachwood but not sure. Wondering if you have an idea.20190518_095923.jpg20190518_131830.jpg

Hi bdar, not easy to id any wood long range like this but the mid tan brown colour, fine texture (grain) matches coachwood and your comment that its smelsl like it (sweet caramel-like) is also a good indication it could be. If you know its from Eastern Australia that would also help suggest coachwood. There is a Sth American wood with similar sweet smell but its coarser in texture than this. I put a lot of emphasis on wood odour and my smell memory is pretty good. But long range smell? I rely on your nose.
