    Default Hairy oak

DSCF0005.JPG Hairy Oak can be very fragile cut across the grain this pen is made with a sclice from the log, well worth the effort.

Wowzer.... I haven't seen hairy oak cut that way before. Ripper job and obviously very masterful touch with the tools.

NICE GARRY (or Peter as the case may be)

Yep looks great cut that way, or even at 45 degrees looks good. If you stabilise it is easier but you must ensure the blank is well glued on to the tube still.

    Well doen as usual Peter
