I've seen a few finished products and made a couple of castings. I made 12 Australiana streams for my BIL. No photos sorry. Left the camera at the Apple Tree Creek rest area on the way home. BIL mailed them off before I discovered the loss.

Keith from 043 gave me this tip.
    Layer of red.
    Layer of black.
    Cut to size when set.
Drill through the line where the layers meet.
    Fill with yellow.

Treat as normal blank when done.

Some attention (not too much) needs to be paid to dia of finished pen and size of hole for yellow.

I might have one or two in the cupboard. Will look.

I made some pens up last year by cutting sections from red, yellow and black acyclic blocks and gluing them together. Also made some Celtic ones using slivers of red, yellow and black. Came up ok.

Hi Chuck 1 ,I would suggest you contact Bruce for help with your Idea , he is a creator and seller of some very fine Blanks ,he did some a while back in "Broncos colors" so I am sure he could help if you get going on your project, cheers ~ John ,( it might be a bit challenging to start off casting 100 blanks as a bit of a learning curve hehe.)

Could also try Ian here on the pen forums, he is doing some amazing castings too. I know he is on holiday over the next few days but he is still pretty active here on the forums and on FB search for Wicked Turnings or Wicked Turning Blanks.

    Cheers
    Tony.

Bruce at Woodnworkshop makes a blank called "Gondwana" I have used that one a few times for one of my customers. He is always happy with the results.

Are they after a blank with the colours swirled through it or 3 distinct separate colours. There are plenty of members who cast resin so you shouldn't have any problems finding a supplier. As Tony said, Ian (nai) casts some very nice blanks. Good luck with doing 100 - that's certainly taking on a big job, particularly with resin. If it gets too much or they want them in a hurry, sub-contract the work out to pen turners on here. That quiet often happens with big orders.
