Huon is a beautiful creamy timber and very soft to turn. I use a fair bit of it. Great work with the pen

Love the wicked face with the two eyes. The whole pen offsets and terminates nicely.

I agree a strong fave Huon. I feel the sap rising in me as I type have plans will make.

Neat to see others share in passions of timbers and pens.

    Kind regards Peter.

    Hey Watrags,

I here what you are saying, Huon has a character all it's own, but I just recently spent a couple of weeks scourering Tassie and there aren't many resellers there that are willing to get rid of Huon Pine that has features like your pen. there is lots of pieces that have lots of Features but are not for sale, it's very frustrating, beleive me

    Nice pen by the way

Yep nice Trevor, great piece of Huon and great pen. Trev sees a persian cat face in the top pic but my comment to him was the same as Peter sees, a wicked face, like from an enchanted forest in a kids book.

Huon pine is a special timber especially with birdseye or figuring.

    Nice pen
