Its Been Too Long
Hey Everyone
Its been awhile since I last posted and I have been BIZZY making pens and get new toys to play with and trying out some new things. Toys I hear you say thats right NEW TOYS a Bandsaw, Drill press, Vacuum and a little Woodfast lathe for my pens and it works like a dream. Here are my efforts so far today
Pic 1 Baron Gold Ti wrapped in Carbon Fiber
Pic 2 Sierra Chrome wrapped in Pink with Crushed Lime Green Novus Polish finish
Pic 3 Knight Chrome wrapped in Purple Gin CA finish
Pic 4 Polaris Chrome wrapped in Light Blue with White Crush NV polish finish
Pic 5 Sierra Gold Wrapped in a Home made Blank made from many woods and acrylic CA finish
Pic 6 Sierra Chrome wrapped in a Qld Banksia nut paint & CA filled and PC finish
This my first go at the Banksia nut and I must say I like it

Any tips on casting them into coloured resin I have the resin just not witch is the best way to go

Ian you must be selling more pens than I am and if that's not the case why don't you share the winning numbers instead of keeping them all for yourself
Well done that is a nice range of pens there and I do like the toys I could do with a couple of them myself LOL

Well done Ian ,gives you a heap of encouragement to be able to expand your capabilities what little time you used to have will get used up very quickly now, might have to get a couple of "apprentices" in the shop hehe, cheers~ John

Hey Ian, love the pens mate !. It sure is exciting getting new machines. I have the same Woodfast lathe and I reckon it is a ripper. I also have the smaller model Ryobi shop vac, which is the most used machine in my workshop, ha ha. I have made several adapters from PVC pipe to hook it up to various machines. Have fun mate, and watch the pinkies on the bandsaw !!!!
I never forget anything I remember !!
