Jitta pen.
I was given some Jitta, Halfordia scleroxyla and he said can you use this. I found a kit I had, no idea what its called but I finished it with Tru Oil, came up nice, all fiddle backed.

Indigenous to Queensland, called Kerosine Tree also cause it lights and burns as a torch for quite some time. First time I have seen this timber ,like the pen mate.

Very Nice Crocky!! Woods has nice wavy grain and you show it well.
The wood is native tropical rainforests of Eastern Australia. It belong to the Rutaceae family (ie Citrus family) which almost always have fine, pale cream-yellow fine textured and hard woods. This is also called saffron heart and ghitoe I think as well as Jitta. Good one!

Thanks for posting that link Euge, I am pretty sure I have one of those growing in one of my gardens. My Mother gave me the seedling to plant, she said it would attract the birds.

Thanks for the good comments everyone, I liked it so much that I asked for the rest of the stump. I hope it is all as good as this piece. I will be putting up a lot of pen blanks I'm Marketplace soon, but if anyone is interested in some of this stuff, let me know.

Someone put me onto this stuff as a quick and easy finish. I have not been able to get a super glue finish to work for me.
I finished the barrels as usual, but I made some tapered bushes out of plastic so the ends are free of the mandrel bushes. Then with the lathe on its lowest speed I used a tiny piece of T-shirt material to apply a wet coat of the True Oil and it evens itself out. After about 10 minutes stopped the lathe and 4 hours later applied a 2nd coat. As I don't usually make pens I found this was the best solution for me.
