Selling price for any craft is a vexing problem ,nobody seems to get what an item may be "Really" worth . A rule of thumb is the cost of the kit plus material X 3 , that gets you enough to replace what you sell and a bit for consumables ,labour is almost unchargable , thats why we do it for love hehe. The slims are cheap kits so probably somewhere between $20 - 30 would be a fair price . Private sales are better when possible as you can do an agreed price and work with that . I sell at Markets and most of my work sells for between $ 30 - $ 60 dollars , not what I would like to sell them for ,but what experience tells me the average person will spend on a pen at a Market. Not to say I don't get better prices for roller balls and fountain pens and specials ,but I don't want my pens to end up as Antiques on my stall lol. . Some places will get better prices ,bigger crowds etc ,don't sell yourself short but be prepared to not get what you think you should at times ,we all have different criteria ,some don't sell at all but give all their work away ,I can't afford that ,but my sales do allow me to give what I want away, and to keep restocking and playing around with different materials ,and advancing my skill levels . Cheers ~ John
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

John is spot on. There are a lot of factors to take into account when selling and setting a price.
At my main market, my prices start at $50 and go as high as $180, and I have no issues selling at that price. Mind you, if i went to a market 20 minutes away from that venue, I'd probably have to leave the high end pens at home.
I don't sell Knight kits, but if I did I'd probably price them at slightly less than a Sierra, which I sell for $50 minimum.
If you are confident in your product and price, and it shows, people will be willing to pay more too. Don't sell yourself short, you put a lot of hard work in to get to the end result.
Those acrylics are nice. So long as you paint the tube, you should get a great result from the yellow and black one on the far right. Have you tried the poly resins from Wood'n'Workshop?

Thanks for that, I sell my Sierra's for $45 and the Sierra arcylics for $50 and I have been selling them like hot cakes so I was thinking maybe $50 and $55 I spoke to the boss and she thinks its a fair price like we have talked about before the time, effort and that little bit of our soul that gose in to each pen
Hey Reece

Hey Ian,
I guess I'm biased, I'm not really a fan of the design of the Knight kit so that would be why I would price them lower. More of a personal opinion than anything.

Hey Ian,
I think that your pricing is spot on I sell my Knights for $55.00 and as a selling popint I show people that thet are good for Lefties, as they seem to twist the barrel of the Sierras, and wind up the Nib. Just a thought.
