Thanks artme, you know, my wife told me that about something last night,--" stop being a perfectionist"--- however, if you are going to do something, do it right!!! Amos

I have often wondered whether you ever put it to good use
... would like to see pics one day of any results.

    Keep well!

    Welcome back Amos.

Its's good to see you recovering, and getting back in front of the lathe.

I actually started my pen turning in a 4'x5' closet in an appartment, so I know where you are coming from.

Thanks Darrin, I am going back to "hand tools", like a hacksaw instead of band saw, holding coarse sandpaper against the blank to get the initial sharp edges off instead of a belt sander, and using an elcheapo drill press instead of my precision Mill. I am getting there, would be good to visit you one future day! Amos

Default Osage Orange just for Allan of Wallan

About 8 or 9 years ago , maybe 10 years, Allan provided me with some Osage Orange, these two pens were made some time ago, I post them here so all can see, but in particular so Allan can see what became of the Osage Orange.

    Hope you like them.

Amos, good to see you turning again, I hadn't realised that you had made the move up North, how you finding it up there? Will miss our chats and your great expertise with your pen engraving, as it happens got a few people who would like their pens engraved . I'm sure even with limited equipment your pens will still be striking.

Thanks Tiger, I still have my small Gravograph Engraver(drag type of engraver) and experimenting with engraving with that. Yes, I miss the fellowship and the forums provide some in that way, Amos
