    Default Mangos

Hope the season was joyous for eveyone

only managed a couple of pens in the 4 days of rest well if you can call xmas that

a friend wanted a couple of mangos well he likes mangos and decided that he should have pens made out of it

he wanted a pencil but dudn't like the skinny little suckers, so i offered him a thicker lead and he didn't want that either, then he deicded that he wanted the rubber grip bit on the front so i came up with this highbrid (don't think i spelt that right) pencil

the next is a siera executive for the same boke in mango

the last pickie is what took up most of the weekend free time, my market table, only been to one so far but i thought if i am going to do it then i had better do it right, i only sold 4 pens and 2 bottle stoppers at the last market but it was the no sales that was the best bit, one pen collector, about 20 very interested parties and a website guy who wants to add my pens to his woodwork web page

    thanks for looking

    Nice ones Mik

Do you have a side shot of your table , I'm in the middle of designing a market table and I like the display island idea you've got

Nice looking pens - that mango looks very nice.

Interesting table - I'd move it from the backyard as I'm not sure you'd get the passing customer traffic there to sell many pens

Love that Mango wood. The first one shows clearly why I prefer to use Slimline for the amount of real wood they display. It is a pearler and stands head and shoulders in a crowd.

Broke my custom never to compare when there is more than one in a pick however.

    Regards Peter.

MBUMIK Always hard when a customer is up in the air over wants Don't know if you are aware but there is a pen and pencil set (separate if you want hehe) that has a click action ,but a 2 mm lead ,comes with a tube of spare leads as well ,much better than the .7 or .5 leads that tend to break very easily .I think it's called a "power pencil " Cheers ~ John

very nice pens but I am interrested in the table lol.
Does it fold in anyway ? because it will be difficult to get it to the markets. I am interrested in making something similar for same purpose.

the legs are folding tressel legs but the top is rigid, i have access to a van so room is no problem for me, i will take a pickie tomorrow afternoon with it all set up, thats if its not raining

not sure if i have enough stuff to fill it up as yet but i am working on it

i might make some more stands in the morning if i get a chance instead of using the black cases

    Thumbs up

    Nice pens Mik.

I love turning Mango, full of differing grains and colourings, takes a good polish.

    Neat table too.

    Now where talking
Why can't you line one with polystyrene and use it as the esky you would need to add a door or hatch of course
