    Default Olive hex

DSCF8511.JPGDSCF8507.JPGDSCF8506.JPG I was given a one off access to a 70 yr old totally neglected Olive Grove, the trees were polled at 8 feet no water through a drought period.

I cut a trailer load. Grain was terribly intermittent but this blank was a ripper.

Gabriel wet Olive is damnably heavy and the grain was fickle. I did get 3/4 of a ton on the trailer. Been using it for years, given away a lot over time, not much left now.

With difficulty mate, A long time ago I made my own device, def not oh&s approved that uses a router. It has seen ten mods over time, it is time consuming and difficult, I have resisted making the movements driven so I get quite a work out.

    Kind regards Peter.

Hi Matt the kit I used is called Vertex, this is the basic version there are others including one with a magnetic top in the kit. Have fun I do. One of my ancestors came from Pollack Shaws in the early 1800.s.

    Hi Peter,
I am a fan of Vertex kits but your use of them takes the cake.
A great outcome. Going to have to make a plan to find a way to make the hex.
    Well done.
    Phil.
