Default Some pencils and a cast coastal banksia

Had a day off from the markets yesterday (5th sunday of the month ) so what do I do on a day off , Make some pencils and a cast banksia from Neil (dai sensei)
Also borrowed his light tent this evening to take the photo Thanks again Neil

One is a deluxe w/shop pencil in buckeye burl ,one is supposedly Tas blackwood ,seems a bit light to me , and the other is "camelthorn" looks almost like wenge except tan and dark brown highlights , the last is a coastal banksia on a sierra vista ! courtesy of Neil , cheers ~ John

The 3rd one looks more like Blackwood than the second. Sure you didn't mix them up?

BEB always looks great. Mus have been a big piece to fit on that fat pencil though.

hehe, my problem is trying to stay out of the shed lol, even selling at the Markets only creates more "shed time" lol Cheers ~ John

Yep all these have a CA finish ,not a thick heavy coating ,just enough to seal and protect.
These pencils are a clutch type and have 5mm lead ,quite good for the heavy handed lol, also have a sharpener in the end for convenience There is a smaller version as well that takes a 3 mm lead ,handy for smaller hands , Cheers ~ John

Nice work as always John, Buckeye burl is my pick of those.
    Reality is no background music.
    Cheers John
