Those are absolutely amazing. How long did it take you to make all of that amazing pens?

Thanks guys for the comments, but it's the timber that makes the pens what they are. Plus a special thanks to Hazza.
I am regularly asked how long to make a pen. I have never really timed myself as the time is spread over a few days.
Usually I cut blanks to size, then to length. Drill out & glue inserts (after roughing up) then leave overnight.
Trim ends with barrel trimmer, seal the trimmed ends with thin CA to avoid breakouts, which I have found essential, especially for burls, & leave over night.
Turn to shape, finish & assemble.
It doesn't take long when you say it quickly.

Wow!!!
Certainly looks like you've been busy. The fit-n-finish look absolutely great on all. But those crosscut pieces are stunners!!!!

Col, Like the pens, would you tell me the name of the "kit" used in the Macadamia-cross cut pen, please. Regards, Ross-the plumber

Great looking set there Col
Haven't seen you around here for a while and it's good to see you back. Remember that termite eaten burl you gave me ages ago, well I finally cast it up (see Blackbutt Burl from BlackbuttWA (Col)) and turned some (see Little Crushgrind Shaftless Pepper grinder pairs).Neil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

This is a 2012 thread. But Col has been on the forum recently so hopefully he will chime in soon.
To answer the Plumbers question, I think they are called "Longwood Click" they are available on the Timberbits site, and no doubt other suppliers too.Brad.

Amazing at how very few people look at the post date.
Lately the Longwood Click's quality control on the mechanisms has been terrible.
They are having jamming issues.
