    Yes the white card is sitting on the table on the RHS of the camera, I use a small spring clamp to help it sit in place, doing this makes the card sit upright at 90 degrees. I don't remember if I had it parallel with the pen, I know it was approximately parallel, but suspect it would have been a bit off.
    I haven't tried the alfoil, I might bring some silver card home tomorrow and try that.

    Sorry Fred, I didn't realise you had some albums with photos of your pens. I just checked them out, some nice work there mate. A couple of them bought back memories, such as the Black kitless pen that made the front page of the IAP, and the watch pen with the red polymer clay base.

    I have one of those portable clothes rail which I cut down the uprights so it was not so tall. On the top cross bar I have put a roll of white photographic back drop which was 10ft long I cut this to the length of the cross bar. I then use a simple Finepix F80 EXR and set the white balance to the backing paper. I use this for all of my pens as well as other smallish projects.
