    Default A redo

This is a Juniper cigar pen, the reason for the redo is because I wear glasses now. Got diagnosed with type 2 diabeties and the eye sight has been slightly blurry for close work since. No big deal, you either deal with things or be be a victim, I dealt with it and I hate seeing victims, as a young girl I know would say, "suck it up". Man it makes a difference when you can see all the minor blemishes that are there under the curved prisms that weren't before. Here are the photo's looking a bit better dressed up.

    Hi Darren,

I suppose before you got your glasses, if anyone mentioned
a blemish with your pens, you would reply "I wont bother
fixing it up - I don't see the point".

Now, with the goggles, you can see the whole pen.

    Well done.

    Allan

Damn.. another one... this diabeties is epidemic.

It getting to a point where its a positive thing to to mention your understanding of diabetic first aid on your resumae.
Its a worry when you are the odd man out on a crew of 3.

watch what you eat mate......if you look after your self it will be a life long anoyance..... if you dont.... it will be much more of an anoyance and for a much shorter time.

My wife works is dialisis... she sees quite a few end stage diabetics... after their kidneys pack it in......one of her patients is having a leg off tomorrow.

    nice pen by the way
    cheers

Soundman am doing ok, wondered why I was nearlly tipping over at work, my first reading was 27, within a week with tablets and change of diet had it down to 7. As I said you can be a victim or deal with things, I rather deal with things. Had an uncle that died from it but he hit the rum big time. Went too low and had a hypo, that spun me out but usually between 5 and 7 now, You do become aware of what is actually in food products very quickly if you want to help yourself.

Problem is with glasses I am now even more fussy on the finish of my pens.

OD found about 5 with a blemish in the finish, a hollow in the CA about 2mm long and about a pencil width that I didn't sand out to smooth. Guess I am just fussy.

    Default Soundman

Soundman go to Bunnings they have a set of pin punches and they are good for separating parts. I also have bought lengths of metal rods with extra length on them for tubes that are longer than the pin punches and for your high end pens that have larger inside diameters. A 2lb lump hammer does the trick.

Yeh I have pin punches... long ones.
I've had some sucess geting some kits apart but the good quality pen1's... never managed to get the twist mech out of one without totaly wrecking the tube.
Can get the tip out usualy, remove the cap& clip mostly.
But the mechs are just too tight.

    cheers
