Default Ringed gidgee from nth queensland

    DSCF8405.JPG

I nsourced this blank from a dead forest of remarkable timber. Long time favourite, strongest timber, hard to find, worth every minute.

My design using this kit I like a full pen no dashes and dives.

    Peter.

Any idea which part of NQLD it's from? Just curiosity on my part. I got a bunch from the area west of Mackay a while back. Thought maybe it came from a similar spot.

Nice pen, Peter - the blank maybe from our order from The Timber Joint I made several pens from those blanks, really one of my favourite timbers, kept one of those pens to myself

    Beautiful pen peter!!

Ringed Gidge is hard to come by and it seems those who have a supply are reluctant to part with it!

Sweet looking pen Peter, well done.
I also purchased some ringed gidgee blanks from The Timber joint but mine are much darker than this one and while I love it I believe yours is a much better looking finish.
    Cheers,
    Ian

More like Central Western Qld than North Qld I reckon.

Received my order and have turned two pens (pictures in the next few days). Absolutely love the wood, turns a treat and sanded out to 12000 it looks stunning. Will be placing another order to stockpile some.
