SA Rosewood Burl.
The third one out of the Shoebox of nearly 200 blanks. Read SA Rosewood on the blank thinking it was S Australia then S Africa but it definitely is South America Dalbergia. I love the grain ,texture of the burl together with the colour.

A beautiful piece of timber Peter, and you have certainly done it proud there.
The shape and coves compliments the hardware perfectly as well.Brad.

All sorts of burls are still my favourites, and this pen is another example of Peter's craftsmanship. And it proves you don't have to spend a fortune on pen kits to produce a magnificent pen.

A beautiful piece of wood with grain going all directions. Looks great wherever it came from.
