Seeing spots
Hey All,
I'm still playing with Polymer Clay. This is an experiment in patterns as I work towards producing a Honeycomb pen for an order from a Bee enthusiast. Still having problems with tear out or inconsistencies in the clay a I try to turn it. One of the problems is not knowing if it's just faults in the clay, or the turning which is causing the chipout. I suspect it's the turning, but I'm trying everything I can to top it, and still happening, so something isn't right. My experiments continue.

No one I know with easy access unfortunately. I saw a Mini metalwork lathe for sale on Deals Direct the other day an was tempted for a few minutes, but I'm sure the quality was probably a bit doubtful, and I have no space for another lathe at this point in time either.
