    Default First Segmented Pen

On another Pen turning forum we had a competition to make a segmented pen, this was my entry that took first place which I did not think was to bad as I had never done segmented work to this scale before or even on a pen. And like on here I left it until the last moment and from selecting the wood and pen kit until posting the pictures took 2 1/2 days including all the cutting of the blank staining the cherry wood, glue drying, turning and finishing.

Anyway here it is the kit is a zeta pen which is slightly smaller than a sierra pen. the woods used are beech and cherry veneer which was stained purple to contrast better with the beech.
