    Default Another shiraz fountain set

Hi everyone. I thought I already posted this in the last week or so, but couldn't find it. Please forgive me if this is a repeat.

I turned this set for my uncle's 60th which is coming up in a couple of weeks (off to Tasmania)

It is a Baron II Fountain kit from Timberbits, with a shiraz vine blank. I sourced where and when the shiraz vine was cut down, and have matched it with a bottle of the final vintage produced by the vine that now has a second life as a beautiful writing instrument.

It is sanded to 1,500 (sanded to 600 with regular paper, then the first grade of micro-mesh), then coated in 21 coats of thin CA, and then micro-mesh through the grades to 12,000.

    Comments welcome. Simon.

Simon you've gone too far this time, but if you send me a case of the red (as requested) I can find it in my heart to forgive.
