Default Sierra Titanium in Cypress from Bunnings

This is a hand picked piece out of the Cypress picketts I got from Bunnings, it looks better in presence than in the photos. It is a Black Titanium Sierra from Addictive Pens. The finish is CA x 2 (thick) this was to fill the natural cracks in the wood, then EEE and Shellawax, then CA again and EEE and Shellawax. Hope you like it, comments are welcome. Amos

Toni, So far no problems, Depending on the wood I put 1 or 2 coats or more if needed (eg wood with deep natural cracks and gaps etc). then if ca needs a little sanding back I do that, then put on EEE and Shellawax, then CA again and then finish with EEE and Shellawax, often the CA finish on top of the Shellawax is good enough, but I just love EEE and Shellawax.!
    Thanks Froggie

That is a really beautiful piece of wood and you have shown it at its best Amos. Not to mention the excellent photographs. All-rounder beautiful. Thank you.

    G'day Amos,
It is sad to believe that somebody was going to waste that piece of perfectly good wood on a fence. That is a great pen, and the finish reminds me I still have a lot of room to improve. Well done.

    Cheers,

    Rick

    Scroll,

that just shows ya what terrific fences we have in Australia, so terrific, in fact, that they are now making them outa corrugated sheeting cos penmakers kept stealing the palings and pickets.

Tashammer, you hit the nail on the head, i find myself checking the fences when I go for a walk!!?? Strange, a lot of palings are missing along the bike path, maybe you pen turners got there before me!!!

    Lovely work!

    Inspirational, thank you.

Looks wet and I am surprised that the CA stuck to the wax, obviously I have a lot to learn with just one pen under my belt ).

For a while there, people were coming home to discover that someone had pinched all the copper plumbing from under their house. Now, they're discovering absent fences and every 2nd stump missing from under the house!
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

    G'Day Amos

Great use of something readily available. If you are going to sell them they can be called "paling pen"

    Cheers
