A simple segmented pen
Got in the shop today to finish a blank I was working on before my back went out on me. This is a Sierra Vista chrome kit. I dressed it in a black acylic with an aluminum celtic knot that I made. Spun it and polished to a high shine. Thanks for looking. Any questions or comments always welcomed.

That's nice. Can I ask how you did the knot?

There's nothing simple about segmenting. I've tried many a failed time to get lined up perfectly.so I think you under-labelled your beautiful pen. That's fantastic. Can I ask what glue you used to join the aluminium to the acrylic?

Mik a lot of the older posts have lost photos and attachments so you can't see them. Are you able to post it here?

I think this is the tutorial that MIK was referring to. www.woodworkforums.com/f207/ambonia-celtic-knot-jig-cut-87801
A far as the glue goes I use System III T88 epoxy for all my segmented blanks.
Here is a couple more of my simple segmented pens that this pen fits in with. I call it my black acrylic and aluminum series.

Very classy looking pen JT.
Having done a couple of celtic knot pens myself, I can see your attention to detail has really paid off with this one.
What is the thickness of the aluminium you used ? I am guessing it might be 1/16".Brad.
