    Default Spotted Jarrah Jr Victor

I put this one together today, a beautiful piece of Spotted Jarrah, (thanks HazzaB), on a Rodium Jr Victor. I knocked out the black plastic tip in the finial, and turned up a piece of timber to replace it, had a couple of hiccups fitting it in place, but I think it turned out OK for a first try. I can pick the mistakes, but I am hoping the recipient wont notice.
It is going to my cousin, who is a retired Soldier, he spent quite a few years over in Perth while he was with the SAS, so I thought the Jarrah was fitting.

Finished with my new regime of 20 coats of thin CA and Loctite PrimerT activator.

I took 12 photos, only ended up with 3 acceptable ones, the rest were too much out of focus to be of any use . Even these 3 could be better. Just get one thing sorted and something else rears up.

Ironwood, the JR Victor looks great and the Spotted Jarrah has come up a treat. It should be well received. The primmer T seems to be working for you.

    Cheers

    Hey Ironwood,

Geeez that didn't take long, You have done the timber justice,
I'll be pinching the 'Knocking out the black plastic bit' Idea as well.

Thanks Darren. I am very happy with the way the PrimerT is working for me.
I am actually looking forward to putting the finish on my pens now, before I used to dread it.

Thanks Ben, it was my first finial that I have tried, fiddly is an understatement .
    Worth the trouble though.

    What a beautiful pen.
    Well done.
I have worked with a limited amount of jarrah over the years but have never seen any as nice as the spotted piece you used on that one.

Ta John, I rather like the look of the wood button on the end, so much so I have another pen in the making where the black plastic will be replaced also.

Thanks William, it certainly is a beautiful piece of timber, the photos dont really do it justice, it looks a bit washed out in the pics.
It is actually my very first Jarrah pen. It wont be the last though.
