Looks quite well made Sam, Darker woods harder to get good photos that will show the true colour and depth. Amos

Great looking pen Sam, excellent looking finish.
Not so sure about wax under the glasscoat though, could be asking for adhesion problems there?

Nicely executed. And a nice kit too. I haven't seen that one before.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

Thanks for the greenie Pete
Amos
Yes i have found out about the dark wood but also learnt a new trick with the camera. I have been taking pics on the 7mb setting know I am using the email setting and the pictures come in under 100kb no cropping etc
Fred
I know what you mean but so far so good
Thanks Petere and Stirlo I was just experimenting with the finishes

The kit came from Aaron at http://laulauwood.com/default.asp

That looks real nice Sam. I have been wanting to see one of these pens finished. What is your take on the quality of the kit? I am wanting to buy some of these but wanted to get input from someone who has made one.
Thanks
Ken

Ken
the qualitity of the kit seems fine fairly easy pen to make only one piece. I am not sure where else they are available from.
Overall length of the kit is 135mm or 51/2 inches closed. In the posted position 163mm or 6.4 inches
Finish availble in Rhodium 130 plate or Ti gold
Nice rollerball action black ink, comes with a Schmidt refill
Hope this helps
