Timber types
I am making a Euro pen in African Blackwood for a doctor. I also need to drag out the scroll saw and make a stand for it and a small clock with the upright being a map of Africa where the doctor spends his holidays treating the sick. To make the map and base I am looking for 2 pieces of timber. One needs to be 300mm x 200mm x 10mm and the other 200mm x 160mm x 20mm. They need to be in a dark colour but not necessarily African Blackwood. Any ideas where I can get 2 pieces of timber like this? They do need to be smooth on both sides so I don't have to sand them flat - no thickness machine here.
Any advice or offers on the timber appreciated.
