I wonder if the glue will still hold after the timber has completely dried and gone back to its normal size after swelling. Leave them for a day or two Eliza and report back on that please.

Left them to dry on the windowsill (even got a bit of sun) yesterday and last night. This morning tried to prise the wood from the tube on the exposed section, but it won't let go. The tube without any exposed I stuck a knife around the edge to try to loosen it, but it's stuck fast.
Licorice tried to help, she couldn't get it off either.
So I'll turn them off and save the tubes.

Now you put the blanks in a drawer for a year or two, then retest 'em when the glue has started to age.

Willow is very resiliant, sprouting years after it has been dried (so I've heard). I wonder if I soaked a willow pen if it would sprout?
My youngest cat (who is now 3) is called Muffet. She is totally bald (freak of nature). We call her Muf for short.
I'll leave the rest to you.
