Another beauty Mik. The brass gears look great against the blue.

No doubt about it MIK you have these down to a fine art!!

Something about that one that just appeals to me. Maybe it's because I have always loved Blue Heaven milk shakes since I was a kid.
How do you manage to source so many watch gears? I would have thought than in this age of digital they would be hard to come by.

Its precisely why the older watches are a bit easier to come by,no one wants them much less repair them, a few people on ebay sell the parts in packets,for hobbiests and perhaps steam punk creations cheers ~ John

yes ebay is a great source for the gears, i got them in a 100gram lot from Pomgolia, there is always a mixture in the pack, most of the weight is in plates and screws pretty much unusable bits for us on pens but i got all of these pens out of 1 lot and still have a few more pens worth

a friend whose father collects scrap metal sometimes picks up 20 liter drums full of them, i gave him a watch parts pen so hopefully (cross fingers) he remembers me next time he gets 1 or 2 buckets of gears

i think thats 6 shown, 2 left to post, 2 more to turn, 1 left to cast, then i have to make some more, so much to do and work keeps getting in the way
