Wedding Pen set
Been a while since I made some wedding pens. This is a set for one of my grandsons who is getting married next week.
Decided to make something a bit different and used a 2 tone copper Sierra set, blanks by yours truly, engraving by the local trophy place.

I quite like the copper finish, as you say - something different but it certainly gives them a unique look.
Great job Fred!"All the gear and no idea"

Very nice Fred. The copper looks great with the black and white, I wouldn't have suspected that they would go so well together.
Nice pics too MateBrad.

Thank you Gabriel and Brad.
I didn't expect it to look that good either, I normally use a 2 tone Chrome Sierra for these sets. Had these 2 tone Copper ones in stock for quite a while and I thought I would give it a go, worked out OK.
I was a bit concerned about photographing this set as all my desktop studio stuff has been packed away (house is on the market - decluttering). Happened to be a nice overcast day and took the photos outside under the pergola. Also experimented with a mild form of HDR (3 photos for each) using Canon's Digital Photo Professional - came out nicely.

They look very nice indeed Fred. Did your engraver do the engraving before or after the blank was assembled? Did they also do the gold infill?

Thanks Nick and Arthur
Thanks Dallas, the last few sets I had the blank engraved (by Amos) before assembling the pen.
This time I was pushed for time and assembled the pens before taking them to the engraver as he routinely engraves the commercial pens he sells.
Yes, he did the gold infill, which is a wax type. Would have been nice to have a copper infill.

Dear Fred one of the finest presentations I have had the privilige to witness on this site. incredible pictures ,unbelievable depth of field. Fantastic engraving. Very diplomatic naming on the pens. When I married my Dad remarked make way for your Mum in your relationship, it was difficult at times. Happy wife ,happy home and all that.
All the best with your move mate.
Kind regards .......Peter.Nil Desperandum

I echo the above post - exceptional. Where did you source the pen kits if I may ask?

Looks great Fred and what makes them standout is the fact that they are very diferent. I am sure your son will love them.
