Hey Mik,
Nice looking Blank, there are heaps of Firearms makers out there, visit the local Gun shop and see who they have, Bruno, Browning, CZ, .............
On the previous posts, interesting reading and there are some good comments there, the only thing that 'gets up my skirt' is the number of people who present the Bolt Action as it comes in the kit. Any one who has ever held a rifle knows it's not right, I have been told that it is left handed and more comfortable to use, cocky poo! it would lock in the opposite direction if it were left handed,
Sorry to Vent on your Thread Mik, but just needed to get it off my chest

thanks for the feedback mate
i sent an email to Winchester Australia and this is the reply that i got
Hi Mick,
Thanks for the enquiry about using the Winchester name.
Unfortunately we cannot give you permission to use the trade mark due to licensing requirements out of Winchester USA. You would need to apply to them for the rights to acquire a licence and pay a fee for use of the mark.
We wish you success in your production of your pens.
Kind regards
if you search for Bolt Action Pens in google Pictures you will find a bucket load of OLD/Vintage pens with a bolt action mechanism and they are all positioned on the side that the components come and shaped in the same direction
personally i prefer them on the side that they come not for looks but for usability, i am right handed and thats the side of the pen my thumb is on, but thats just the way i see it
venting is always good, my wife vents at me all the time, so i am use to itNo Result Without Effort

Just having a look see on the PSi site and these Knights Armor Twist Pen in Antique Pewter at Penn State Industries would look fantastic in your Mecha look IMHO.

thanks for the info Shawn
i do agree, that would be awesome
i like the antique brass plating as well
could end up looking a bit like a knight wearing armor wielding a sword
PSI charge sooo much for postage though, hopefully one the the resellers pick them up and i might give them a burl then
all the best
