Not sure - worth trying this some more?
Hi folks,
Did a couple of cast blanks with some huon pine shavings... I am not sure they really work, anyone have an opinion?
They're not easy to photograph!
Regards,
Danny

They look nice but seem to lack a little definition, chips a smidgen to small maybe?
And yes some pens resist ones attempts at taking a really good photo, something I need to improve on.Dust Mite...Terrorising noses for the discerning...

Bigger chips makes sense! I did cast up another pair with some bagger shavings, but it fell victim to bubbles. Will see if I can rescue it...

I have tried a few cast shavings and all were crap, I even chips, but they were similar IMO
