Hi Amos,
What a ripper!
Great to see you are experimenting with
cuts, finishes, and of course the wonderful
Osage Orange.
Keep up the good work mate.
Allan

Too many threads these days, I can't keep up with who said what when , and that includes me
As Darren says, you could try sanding sealer, or even shellac. I use the thin CA applied with paper towel at slow speed to seal timber (1 to 2 coats depending on timber density) and form bonding layer. This first stage is not to build coat, as thin CA does cloud if put on thick. I use a second stage with 4-6 coats of the thick CA for the build layers.
Please excuse me if I am repeating myself from other threads, CRAFT is really setting in these daysNeil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

No problems Neil, better you repeat any advice than just being quiet, that way more turners will be edified, and some of us reminded. Allan, thanks for that comment, when you are out at some scrub soon, I need another piece to try and crosscut and more experiments. Amos
