Default Which One: thisIncra LS Positioner, 635mm or TS-LS Joinery System, 810 Range

    Hi All

I was hoping to get some advice (opinions) on which Incra position to buy. First question is should purchase the metric version, second which of the two positions should I select.

The two that on looking at are:

    1. Metric TS-LS Joinery System, 810mm Range, Incra M-LS32-TS-WF-XL
    2. Incra LS Positioner, 635mm w/ Split Router Table Fence, Incra M-LS25WFNCSYS

I am currently leaning towards the TS-LS 810mm wide system as I can set it up on a router table and clearly the 810mm position provides quite a large range as in the future I would like to use it on a table saw and router table combination. The advantage is it has a 37 inch wonder fence and a rail system. In purchasing this is a relatively complete system.

In comparison the Incra LS position with split router table fence is quite a deal cheaper and would work quite successfully on a router table but would need the rail system for it to be effective as a router and table saw combination.
I currently own a Incra Jig Ultra Lite - 12 1/2 Positioning Range that is really quite good and hence I'm keen to move to a complete system.

My original plan is to use the position primarily for a router table but in the future a router and saw table combination. As I am becoming more experienced I am taking on slightly bigger projects. I am currently building larger pieces of furniture and boxes and I'm trying to set up a good workshop for doing some fun joinery.

So my question is can anyone provide me with some guidance as I would really appreciate.

Here the choice is a bit more complicated, it really comes down to what you want and how organised you are. Firstly, understand that for normal joinery the templates supplied are 410mm long, if you want to do wider dovetails you need to reposition the template, no big deal, but still a task. Generally the LS 25's are used to make blanket boxes and our research shows these are pretty rare here in Oz.

The LS17 outsells the LS25 here 95 times out of a 100. The TS System? good if you start on a tablesaw, but the mount plate needs to change for table use. Note: Both the LS & TSLS can accommodate the WonderFENCE, it just gets removed when using it for tablesaw work

Only ever consider the Super Systems, as upgrading to these can be expensive later and almost always desired

If I had the same requirement I'd go LS17. There's a lot to consider, why not give us a call a chat usually helps clear any confusion

So my question is can anyone provide me with some guidance as I would really appreciate.
