G'day Superbunny, try this. Thanks for to Skew for doing this for me. Basically it's a piece of 18 mm MDF turned down to size to fit and a forstner bit was used to cut a hole to size to fit the vacuum hose.

Well Waldo thank you for your efforts and it leaves me something to consider. I was hoping for a little more elegant solution but I must admit I don't know of one. Lets hope for all of us someone got a better idea we can all learn from.

Waldo I seem to have solved the situation and will post pictures when the glue has dried and I have tested it out. it's interesting what you can find a the new Masters store (do we have some sort of covert words for it like we have for the big green shed, maybe the big white shed).

I took the elbow off and just stuff my vac hose up inside the fence. That way the suction is strongest as it's right at the router bit. Just make sure you don't stuff it too far in on bigger bits.

I do have a Y connector laying around that I keep meaning to mount through the side of the table with a permanent piece of hose up to the fence and the other end to the dust extractor. Can't rush these things though.

Well as I said here are some pictures of what I did by taking my elbow to the big white shed (Masters) and played around with plumbing parts for half an hour. The bit that joins on to the shop vac was an off cut from some other vacumm hose. Total cost $3 and some epoxy and half hour work.:D:D
