    Default anlge or channel to increase span?

    Hi, I am wanting to loose a few stumps under the ol queenslander without loosing head height (don't want to raise it), I have seen large angle iron used bolted to the bearers, is this a good idea or not?

    Yes it's a good idea.

    Hire an engineer to get the right size and fixings though.
