How is the external load bearing wall factored in span tables
Hi
The house is brick veneer, trussed roof, with only the external walls being load bearing. Now, the hySpan span tables (and most others I can find for various timbers) have a section for "floor loads only" or "Supporting parallel load bearing walls over opening". Which is appropriate for the aforementioned house construction. Given the external wall bears load only on the end of joists (and subsequently the bearer), should I be using "floor loads only". Or is there something else to take into consideration?
thanks
